'ओपेक ' देश का अभिप्राय || (Meaning of 'OPEC' country)

ओपेक देश- तेल निर्यातक देशों के संगठन 'ओपेक ' (Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC) का जन्म 1960 में हुआ।तेल निर्यातक देशों में मुख्यतः तेल उत्पादन का कार्य बहुउद्देशीय कंपनियों के माध्यम से किया जाता है। 'ओपेक 'की स्थापना से पहले तेल कंपनियांँ पश्चिम एशिया में देशों की तेल संपदा के बल पर अपने निजी देशों को समृद्धशाली बनाती रहीं हैं।अगस्त 1960 में तेल कंपनियों ने अपने उत्पादक देशों से पूछे बिना तेल के दाम कम कर दिए गए।इससे मध्यपूर्व के तेल उत्पादक देशों को 939 लाख डॉलर का बहुत अधिक नुकसान हुआ।इस घटना के बाद पांँच प्रमुख निर्यातक देशों-तीनअरब (इराक, कुवैत और सऊदी अरब) तथा दो गैर- अरब (ईरान व वेनेजुएला) देशों ने अपने संयुक्त हितों की रक्षा हेतु 14 सितंबर 1960 में बगदाद में ओपेक के रूप में एक संगठन तैयार किया।

OPEC Countries- Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC was born in 1960.Oil production mainly in oil exporting countries The work is done through multipurpose companies.Before the establishment of 'OPEC', oil companies have been making their private countries prosperous on the basis of oil wealth of countries in West Asia. In August 1960, oil companies reduced oil prices without asking their producing countries.The oil producing countries of the U.S. suffered a huge loss of $ 939 million. After this incident, five major exporting countries - three Arab (Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia) and two non-Arab (Iran and Venezuela) countries - to protect their joint interests.Formed an organization as OPEC in Baghdad on 14 September 1960.

'ओपेक' की स्थापना मुख्यतः उद्देश्य तेल उत्पादक देशों की तेल नीति में एकात्मकता स्थापित करने हेतु तथा सदस्य देशों के हितों की सुरक्षा करने के लिए की गई है।धीरे-धीरे इस संगठन में 13 सदस्य जुड़ गए।ओपेक किन्हीं भी अर्थों मेंराजनीतिक संगठन नहीं है।किंतु अंतर्राष्ट्रीय रंगमंच पर तेल की राजनीति (Oil Diplomacy) में इसकी प्रभावशाली भूमिका रहती है। सन् 1960 में प्राप्त तत्कालीन आंँकड़ों के अनुसार ओपेक के पांँच निर्माता देशों के पास कुल सुरक्षित तेल का 87 प्रतिशत, कुल उत्पादन का 38% एवं कुल व्यापार का 90% था।अतः OPEC संगठन तेल निर्यात हेतु एक सहायक एवं महत्वपूर्ण संगठन है।

'OPEC' has been established mainly to establish unity in oil policy of oil producing countries and to protect the interests of member countries. Gradually 13 members were added to this organization.OPEC is not a political organization in any sense.But it has an influential role in the oil diplomacy on the international theatre.According to the then data obtained in 1960, the five producing countries of OPEC had 87 percent of the total safe oil, 38% of the total production and 90% of the total trade.Therefore, the OPEC organization is a subsidiary and important organization for oil exports.
